Collaborative Practice Take Action

Expanding collaborative practice agreements is a top priority on NCAP’s legislative agenda. NCAP’s proposal is in alignment with Collaborative Practice Model legislation and is designed to provide greater flexibility and promote collaborative care.

Current Status:

NCAP has engaged in discussions with the NC Medical Society and other stakeholders in an attempt to find common ground on the provisions to be included in this piece of legislation.  NCAP has reintroduced this legislation, H862 entitled "Improving Access to Patient Care".  Rep. Wayne Sasser filed the bill in May 2021 and it has been sent to the House Health Committee, where we expect it to be heard in the coming weeks.
